The Shanghai CC&TSPM told the patriotic stories of Chinese Christians during the 1911 Revolution which ended China's last imperial dynasty and led to the founding of the Republic of China.

The seventh installment in the series of "I'll Tell Your Story” activities" was led by Pastor Zhang Aili, general secretary of the Shanghai CC&TSPM, at Zhabei Church in Jing'an District on October 18.

In commemoration of the centenary of the 1911 Revolution, the stories were about the Christian community in Shanghai during the Revolution, sharing the hardships of the Chinese people and revolutionaries and helping to rescue the poor and weak China.

There were many heroes at that time, for example, Xia Ruifang, the founder of the Commercial Press, the oldest publishing institution in China's publishing industry; Charles Jones Soong, who contributed to Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary cause without seeking fame and fortune; Shen Manyun, who participated in the Tongmenghui, supporting the anti-Qing movement led by Mr. Sun, who was later poisoned; and lastly, Pastor Yu Guozhen, the founder of the Chinese Jesus Church and a hero of the 1911 Revolution, as well as a Christian community, who comforted the people affected by a fire disaster in Jiaozhou Road apartment.
