For all the eager gamers, "XCOM 2" has announced its next DLC, scheduled to be released on May 12 and named Alien Hunters.

The second DLC Pack of "XCOM 2", after Anarchy's Children will add exciting new gameplay to the campaigns. The pack can be bought individually for a price of $9.99 or as part of the Reinforcement Pack, according to XCOM.

The "Alien Hunters" will reportedly include new weapons, a mission driven with proper narration, armor, and a new "Hunter's Lodge" update to the Army. Additionally, it will also feature three new alien "Ruler" units for combat, reported Endgadget.

Notably, the new rulers will be formidable, and will show up at random during the campaign, once the user has completed the narrative mission. Each of the rulers will come with their own unique characteristics and users will have to take out the rulers during a time period, failing which the alien will escape to live another day.

The newest version of the DLC is also set to include four new never-seen-before weapons, namely "The Bolt Caster", "The Hunter's Axe", "The Shadow Keeper Pistol" and the "Frost Bomb Grenade", according to reports from PC Gamer. Unfortunately, each of these weapons will be prototypes and hence if a soldier with these weapons fails in a battle, users need to carry them back to Skyranger physically or will lose the weapons.

Moreover, Alien Hunters will also offer three new armor, which can be created from the corpse of a "Ruler" alien. Each of these suits will provide the wearer with unique abilities and can also help in controlling the aliens.

This new version of DLC will also include a compatibility patch and general bug fixes so that the gamers can have balance in single player modes and enjoy multiplayer experience and performance optimizations for the base game.
