Intense lightening, short strong downpours, hailstorms and a tornado battered parts of Yancheng City, including Funing and Sheyang at around 3pm on June 23. The devastation left 98 dead and 846 injured with buildings and housing in ruins even until June 27.
The storm has also killed 9 local believers and injured at least 212 others in Funing.
Recently, the co-worker of Gospel Times visited five local churches along with the county TSPM on June 29.
