Billy Bush has been suspended from his job at the "Today" show for a leaked 2005 conversation with Donald Trump in which sexual comments were made about Nancy O'Dell and Arianne Zucker.

"I feel it's very important that I address you all directly," O'Dell said in an ETbroadcast.

"As a journalist for 26 years now, it is my job to bring you news about others, rather than turning the focus on myself," she added.

"But by now, I'm sure that most of you have heard the audio tape which became national news and part of the presidential race. My name was mentioned and, unfortunately, the release of it has thrown me into the middle of the political arena of which I didn't ask to be a part," O'Dell said.

Donald Trump also apologized for his comments saying, ""Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed. It's no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago - I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry."

And after it, different celebrities including Kristen Bell, Alyssa Milano and Sophia Bush were among the celebrities that defended that 44-year-old host.

Bush's former "Access Hollywood" co-host Kit Hoover got emotional during Monday's episode while defending her friend: "Those tapes were a decade ago and it was seven minutes of someone's life, and all I can tell you is what I know and the person that I sat next to for the last six years, and that person for me is a totally different person," she said, adding, "The Billy that I know and a lot of people would say has the biggest heart of anybody and he is a good person."
