WCC's Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order
Organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order brought nearly 500 participants from 100 countries under the theme "Where Now for Visible Unity?" in Egypt, marking the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325 AD). Held from October 24 to 28, the conference consisted of thematic plenaries, different sections and workshops, a pilgrimage to Coptic monasteries, a Sunday confession worship, daily morning and evening prayer services, etc. A final document "Deepening Unity, Journeying in Love, Restoring Hope: Ecumenical Affirmation" was released, calling all Christians to renew commitment to faith, mission, and unity.
