The spring games and sports meet of Shaanxi Bible School commenced on April 13.

At the opening ceremony on the same day, the teams of first-grade and junior college students, and trainees of the pastoral volunteer training program performed gymnastic exercises.

A tug-of-war followed as shouts and cheers rose one after another.

In the following two days, athletic programs were carried out, such as basketball, badminton, table tennis, standing long jump, rope skipping, running, and 4x100m relay race.

The final of the basketball game concluded the meeting.

The faculty and students sang Onward, Christian Soldiers at the closing ceremony, in which winners were awarded by two pastors.

Pastor Dang Gaiqin, chief of the dean’s office, urged students to be Christian soldiers who embrace an all-round development in spirituality, morality, intelligence, physique and art.

Founded and administrated by the Shaanxi CC&TSPM, Shaanxi Bible College is aimed at training talents for churches. Its predecessor, Shaanxi Christian Pastoral Volunteer Training Program, was founded in 1983, and then it was officially established in 1988. Currently, the college sits in the Yanta District of Xi'an.
