A Jiangsu church hosted a baptism and a communion service last Sunday.

Following the COVID-19 protocols, believers entered Jinsha Church in Tongzhou District, Nantong City. Seekers who were about to be baptized sat on the first row of the church wearing baptismal robes.

During the service, Senior Pastor Qiu Cheng gave a sermon with the theme "Correctly Understand the Meaning of the Communion", encouraging the congregation to have the correct attitude for the sacrament, instead of neglecting the Lord’s bread and cup. He shared that the communion was to "remember the Lord", as the bread represented His body, and the wine His blood.

After the sermon, Rev. Qiu led a baptism service by sprinkling for 11 catechumens, who had trained in an inquirer class for a month and passed a test on November 6 demonstrating their understanding of the Christian faith. Later, the church issued certificates of baptism and gifts to all those who were baptized.

Then, a holy communion service was held, with a benediction from Rev. Qiu in the end.
