ERRChina will hold an online book club about From Banned Book to Bestseller: The Mission in Contemporary China on December 3.

Authored by Cynthia Oh, communications manager at the United Bible Societies China Partnership (UBS CP), the book illustrates how China has become the world's largest supplier of Bibles. While Bibles were smuggled into China, millions of copies are printed annually, impacting different segments of Chinese society. It recounts how the Bible Press of China has helped to make Scripture available in China and around the world. Based on first-hand accounts and testimonies from records and reports of UBS, the book focuses on the Bible mission in China to explore the impact of the Bible and its message on the lives of ordinary people.

The book club will be facilitated by Joann Pittman, vice-president for Partnerships and China Engagement at ChinaSource, who spent more than 20 years in China.

ERRChina (Educational Resources and Referrals), founded in 1986 in Northern California, has brought together students, teachers, scholars, and the general public across both sides of the Pacific through its programs and events. Its book club is focused on inviting Chinese and Chinese American writers to share the faith-related stories behind their books, which often explore themes of Christian faith in connection with Chinese culture.
