The Qatar Museums is hosting a second major exhibit as part of the Qatar-China 2016 Year of Culture. The second exhibit that will be displayed in QM Gallery, Katara will showcase silks from Zhejiang and narrate the story of the importance of silk for trade in the Silk Road.
Entitled "Silks from the Silk Road - Chinese Art of Silk", the exhibition will feature around 100 pieces of both ancient and modern Chinese silk creations starting March 24 to May 9. The exhibition also aims to show the history of silk and how important silk is for Chinese culture. Contemporary Chinese silk will also be featured for visitors to experience.
