Churches in China’s northeastern Liaoning Province donated food to Northeast Theological Seminary which was in lockdown due to COVID-19, marking “Christian Charity Day” which falls on October 22-23 this year.

Rev. Hou Yujie, vice chairman of Liaoning TSPM and chairman of Yingkou TSPM, called on seven churches to make donations in Yingkou City, Dashiqiao City, Gaizhou City, Bayuquan District, Laobian District, Taihe County, and Wanmin Street. They bought 2,500 kilograms of apples, 300 kilograms of bananas, more than 100 kilograms of fish, 500 bags of sausages, and Chinese cabbage for the faculty and students of the seminary, according to CCC&TSPM.

It has become a tradition for the Yingkou CC&TSPM and churches in Liaoning to provide supplies to the seminary for more than 30 years in a row.
