On May 12, Trinity International Church in Kunming, Yunnan, hosted a fellowship gathering for church staff, bringing together approximately 200 co-workers to worship through music, testimony sharing, and mutual encouragement.
According to the church, Rev. Deng Jianwei, president of the Yunnan Provincial Christian Council and Yunnan Theological Seminary, was invited to attend and deliver a message encouraging attendees to deepen their faith and remain steadfast in their service.
During the gathering, the Deacon and Angel Fellowship offered hymns and dance performances, respectively. The co-workers also sang songs such as the "Song of Mutual Encouragement among Co-workers." Several deacons shared their experiences in ministry and testified to God's blessings. Senior Pastor Shao Liliang urged the co-workers to support one another, persevere in their service, become the Lord's faithful soldiers, and work together to build a church in unity.
Established by the China Inland Mission in 1894 on Wucheng Road in Kunming, the church experienced significant challenges and reconstruction in the early 20th century, eventually reopening in 1904. In 1963, it became the headquarters of Yunnan Provincial Christian Council and Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee. The church was closed during the Cultural Revolution but resumed services in 1984. In 1997, the original building was demolished due to road expansion. A new church was built on Renmin Middle Road, and a dedication service was held on December 12, 2004, marking its renaming as "Trinity International Church." The new premises span approximately 1.8 mu, with a total floor area of 4,018 square meters.
