On May 14, Shaanxi Bible School invited psychological counselor Yang Ping to deliver a special lecture titled "Enhancing Psychological Resilience for a Fulfilling Life" at the "Chang'an Forum" of the Sinicization of Christianity Research Center in Shaanxi Province.
Yang Ping, a seasoned professional from Xi'an Yangguang Psychological Research Institute with extensive clinical counseling experience, provided an in-depth analysis of core topics, including psychological stress management strategies, pathways to enhance psychological resilience, professional counseling techniques, and mental health standards. The presentation was enriched with practical case studies to illustrate these concepts, according to Shaanxi CC&TSPM.
Rev. Wang Hong, president of Shaanxi Bible School, expressed her hopes that all teachers and students will apply the insights from this lecture in both personal life and pastoral care and become pastoral talents in the new era with both spiritual care and scientific ability through the deep integration of psychology and theological education.
The college, which is now located in Yanta District of Xi'an City, originally held training class in the church of Sanyuan County in Xianyang City. Formally established in 1988, it trains theological students for China's five northwestern provinces, including Qinghai, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang, and Shanxi.
