On November 21, a six-member delegation led by Rev. Jon-Arne Hoppestad, head of the International Department of the Mission Covenant Church of Norway, visited the Shaanxi Provincial CC&TSPM.
During the meeting, Rev. Wang Jun, chairperson and president of the provincial CC&TSPM, briefed the delegation on recent developments in Shaanxi Christianity, highlighting adherence to the "Three-Self" principles, progress in theological work, advancement of the Sinicization of Christianity, and strengthened church governance. He also provided an overview of Shaanxi's social development, religious harmony, and efforts to improve people's livelihoods.
Rev. Li Shizheng, vice chairperson, vice president, and secretary-general, introduced the main ministries of the Shaanxi CC&TSPM, while Rev. Hoppestad shared the work of the Mission Covenant Church of Norway and expressed appreciation for the Shaanxi church's initiatives, noting that the exchanges had deepened their understanding of the Chinese church.
Rev. Wang expressed gratitude for the delegation's longstanding respect for the "Three-Self" principles, support for the Sinicization of Christianity, and active role in conveying objective information about the Chinese church in Norway. He expressed hope that the positive engagement would continue in the future.
The delegation also visited the Shaanxi Bible School, engaged with faculty members, and toured famous local attractions, gaining insight into the province's rich history, culture, and natural scenery.
