The Faculty of Theology at the Humboldt University of Berlin will host the 25th Congress of the International Organization for the Study of the Old Testament (IOSOT), which is arranged for August 11–15, 2025.
According to the university, it will also be hosting four other congresses, covering Bible studies for Masoretic, Septuagint and Cognate, Qumran, and Vulgate.
The meeting welcomes everyone interested in the scientific study of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and related subjects. The papers in English, German, and French are welcome.
Promoting academic excellence and diversity, the IOSOT is a scholarly organization that aims to further studies on the Old Testament. Founded in Leiden, Netherlands, in 1950, the organization held its first congress in Copenhagen in 1953.
