From May 14 to 16, a seminar to commemorate the 1,390th anniversary of the introduction of Nestorianism into China and to promote the sinicization of Christianity was conducted in Shanghai.

According to CCC&TSPM, the one-and-a-half-day academic seminar featured two keynote addresses and three thematic presentations. Discussions centered on three key areas: the discovery and study of Nestorian relics, the localization and social integration of Nestorianism, and the historical significance and contemporary relevance of its sinicization. The seminar offered historical insights and theoretical guidance for advancing the sinicization of Christianity.

Participants also visited the Christian Sinicization Practice Exhibition Hall in Qingpu District and Song'en Church in Zhujiajiao Township for further study.

The seminar brought together 50 attendees, including scholars from the Central Institute of Socialism, Fudan University, Minzu University of China, Shanghai International Studies University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Kashi University, and other academic institutions. Experts in the history of the Chinese church and faculty members from theological seminaries across China, as well as leaders and staff from the two national Christian organizations, were also present.
