Last Saturday, the well-received Chinese Christian choir, Stream of Praise Music Ministry, hosted two worship services at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre as part of its 30th Anniversary Asia Tour. Each session drew nearly 8,000 attendees.

The afternoon session on August 2, held in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere, centered on the theme "Loving Jesus," reflecting God's glory and grace through worship.

The gathering began with the well-known praise song "Open Heaven." Accompanied by powerful drumbeats, a flowing melody, and resounding applause, the congregation quickly entered into a spirit of worship. Following the lead of the worship team, attendees rose to their feet, lifted their hands, and engaged deeply in an intimate encounter with the Lord.

The event featured both a review of classic hymns and the performance of several new compositions, including "I Give My Thanks to You, My God," "You Set Me Free," and the title track of the new album, "Loving Jesus." These songs expressed a consistent spiritual aspiration that has remained unchanged over the past three decades—to love the Lord Jesus with all one's heart.

The worship concert included a special "call out song request" segment, during which the ministry team moved through the audience from the back of the venue, engaging directly with attendees and inviting them to request songs. One participant requested "Stream of Praise" in celebration of her birthday, while others chose "Let Me Stay" and "I Am Strengthened In Him," sharing personal testimonies tied to the songs. One attendee recalled that listening to "Believe in Love, You Will See Miracles" had led him to faith in Christ.

To honor those who have journeyed with the ministry over the past thirty years, the team performed "It's Good to Know You." Led by Rev. Sandy Yu, the entire audience joined together in singing "I Really Love to Be With You," filling the venue with a sense of familial warmth and spiritual unity.

A specially made vlog was then presented, chronicling the 30-year journey of Stream of Praise Music Ministry. Team members shared heartfelt stories from their years of service:

One person played the violin outside an orphanage window, letting notes of hope reach the babies inside.

Another worshipped alongside elderly residents in a nursing home, tears streaming down their faces as they sang "The Gift of Knowing You."

A mother of a hearing-impaired child found deep comfort through a sign language worship song.

One member, who continued to serve despite illness, testified to the love and acceptance of the team, saying, "Stream of Praise is my home."

Another shared that "You're My Home" reflects not only the lyrics but also the genuine relationships among the team.

A team member concluded, "The most important thing in ministry isn't just singing—it's loving Jesus deeply and learning to love one another."

As the climax of the worship session, Rev. Sandy Yu delivered a message based on Psalm 103:1-4: "Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name." She emphasized that worship is more than singing with the lips; it flows from the depths of one's body, emotions, and soul.

Rev. Yu reminded the congregation, "Forget not all His benefits." In the midst of busyness, fatigue, illness, or discouragement, she stressed that God's grace is the one memory believers must always hold onto. "You can forget people's faults," she said, "but never forget God's goodness. Worship is how we choose to remember His love."

She urged the audience to respond to God through worship and to recall His grace even in times of depression or burden. "Christians are made new because Jesus has changed the past," she affirmed.

Concluding the session, the whole crowd sang "You're My Home" once again. Pastor Yu then offered a prayer of blessing. The congregation exited in an orderly manner as staff prepared the venue for the evening concert.

Prior to the concert on Saturday, an intensive training for worship leaders was held from July 30 to 31, followed by a Revival Summit on Sunday in Hong Kong.
