On September 6, Xiangmihu Church in Shenzhen, Guangdong, hosted a free medical clinic. Dr. Qiu Aizhen from Desa Rehabilitation Center, together with three physicians and six church volunteers, provided care for 52 believers.
According to the church, a Christian sister led the volunteers in preparing the site in advance, setting up consultation, registration, and rest areas, equipping them with basic medical tools such as blood pressure monitors and stethoscopes, as well as health brochures, drinking water, and seating.
During the event, Dr. Qiu measured patients' blood pressure and offered preventive guidance, while the other three doctors also provided professional consultations, focusing on common internal medicine conditions, chronic disease management, and medication use. Volunteers assisted elderly patients with limited mobility, helping them through registration and consultation.
Many participants expressed that the clinic not only addressed their health concerns but also conveyed the warmth of the church community. The 52 patients included elderly members suffering from chronic illnesses as well as middle-aged and younger believers often too busy with work to seek medical care.
Xiangmihu Church, located in Shenzhen's Futian District, was originally established as the "Zhuzilin Meeting Point" in 1997. In 2017, the church purchased an 830-square-meter property, and relocated there in 2018. Now it hosts 600 Sunday attendees and operates more than 40 fellowship and ministry groups.
