To mark the 110th birth anniversary of Bishop K.H. Ting (Ding Guangxun), a prominent late Chinese religious leader and theologian, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary hosted a symposium titled "The Theological Thought of Bishop K.H. Ting and the Sinicization of Christianity" on December 9.

On September 29, General Secretary Xi Jinping called for strengthening institutional development, governance, and grassroots efforts to promote the sinicization of religion and guide religions to adapt to socialist society during the recent study session of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
