At a church in Fujian, 50 seekers attended a catechism class, and 40 of them were baptized.
At Flower Lane (Hua Xiang) Church, after over ten training sessions, seekers gained a better understanding of Christianity.
During this summer's baptism ceremony, Rev. Zhang Zhizhong from the church delivered a sermon titled "The Significance of Christian Baptism" to the to-be baptized.
After affirmatively answering questions about their faith, over 40 seekers received baptism—25 were baptized by sprinkling at the new church and 15 by immersion at Flower Lane Church.
The church holds baptism ceremonies on Good Friday, in the summer, and Christmas each year.
The history of Flower Lane Church can be traced back to 1915, when western missionaries appointed by the Methodist Episcopal Church purchased the field the church currently stands on and gave it as a gift to the church. It is the first Methodist church built within the walled city of Fuzhou.
