On August 24, Shaanxi CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony at Nanshan Church in Baota District, Yan'an City, during which nine pastors and eight elders were ordained. The service was attended by about 300 people.
According to the hosting organization, at the ceremony, Rev. Li Shizheng, vice chairperson, vice president, and secretary general of the provincial CC&TSPM, preached on the theme "Behold, My Servant." He exhorted the ordinands to remain faithful to their calling and not lose direction, to remain humble in success, to care for their congregants without causing harm, and to persevere through challenges without losing heart.
Following the sermon, Rev. Wang Jun, chairperson and president of Shaanxi CC&TSPM, made the declaration, conducted the ordination vows, and offered the prayer. The ordaining team performed the laying on of hands for each of the 17 candidates, formally ordaining nine pastors (seven women and two men) and eight elders (six women and two men). The newly ordained clergy received stoles, clergy certificates, and commemorative gifts.
